This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When teachers provide snacks to their students, it plays a vital role in both their comfort and growth. Many students may come to school hungry, which can significantly affect their ability to focus and learn. Hunger can lead to irritability, difficulty concentrating, and lower energy levels, ultimately hindering their academic performance. By offering snacks, teachers ensure that students are physically prepared to engage with the material and participate actively in lessons.

Beyond academic benefits, providing snacks helps students feel cared for and valued.

It creates a supportive classroom environment where students know their well-being is a priority. This simple act of kindness fosters a sense of belonging, building trust and encouraging positive relationships. Ultimately, teachers who provide snacks contribute not only to the academic success but also to the emotional and social development of their students, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
