My Project

My class is an amazing group of fourth-graders. They come from all different socioeconomic backgrounds. Most of my students live in a rural area with limited internet access. About half come from low-income families. We live in a small tight nit community where the school is the focus academically and socially. Most students attend school functions and sporting events to socialize with others.

Learning about the Iditarod through literature is fun and exciting!

I am asking for books about the Iditarod. These books are all about dog sledding and the Iditarod. I would like to use these book as a literature unit. We will learn all about the Iditarod along the way. These amazing books will help us learn all about point of view, figurative language, main idea and supporting details, text features vocabulary and many other ELA skill activities.
