Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Most of our whole group learning is done on our classroom rug. We use the rug multiple time a day to check in during morning meeting, ask the question of the day and learn our letters and numbers. A rug is essential for a heart centered classroom, I view it as the "heart" of the classroom".

My students are excited little learners and deserve a special place to gather and learn.

A new rug would be such a nice gathering place for us! 100% of my students are apart of the free lunch program. My school is a Title I school and many of my students' most comfortable environment is their classroom.
