My Project

My K-12 students are hospitalized in the South Bronx for medical and/or psychological/emotional reasons. My job is to assist them with their academics so that they are on track upon returning to school. I help them work on skills/areas of need across the grade-level curriculum, complete assignments, test prep, and maintain students' and families' morale.

Painting is a great buy-in when building initial relationships with students as it attracts kids of all ages and allows them to express themselves.

It is also a motivating reward after our work is done!
