Help me give my students the joy of outdoor play, there is so much for them to see, explore and learn. The changing nature of the outdoors makes it an incredibly stimulating and multi-sensory place to play.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students come to school from all cultures, all social economic levels and all abilities. But they all come with a strong desire to learn, discover and explore. For many, our program is the first opportunity of a school experience. This includes general ed and special needs students, who work together in a loving well rounded environment.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
This year will be a particular challenge., as we return to in-person learning. Our program is play-based and age-appropriate.
The ETK/PCC program provides the students with well balanced social and academic skills to help build success throughout their school careers.
My children are 75% low income, all students are on a free lunch program.
This project will give my students an opportunity for sensory development and free play, using all learning modalities.
Outdoor learning experiences offer a great deal in terms of these benefits.
By committing to learning both inside and outside of the classroom, my children are able to see that learning occurs everywhere, at all times. They better understand what learning means, often assuming it is something that only occurs when a book is open and a pen is in a hand or they are just out in nature using their senses.
In Outdoor learning students develop self-awareness, confidence and self-esteem. They develop collaborative-working and communication skills and provide positive health benefits – both physically and mentally – and assist gross and fine-motor development. Students develop a lifelong love of the outdoors.
