The cubby has helped us create a safer, more organized learning environment by giving every student a designated space to store their backpacks and personal belongings. Before having the cubby, backpacks were often placed around the classroom, which created clutter and safety concerns during transitions and learning activities. Now, students are independently putting away their belongings each morning and taking pride in keeping our classroom neat and organized.\r\n\r\nThe students were very excited when they first saw the new cubby system. They loved finding their individual spaces and were eager to practice using them responsibly. Many students immediately began talking about \"their cubby\" and enjoyed having a special place to keep their things safe throughout the day. The cubby has also helped make our daily routines smoother and more structured for preschool learners.","fullyFundedDate":1755482965247,"projectUrl":"project/a-home-for-our-backpacks-help-keep-our/9437397/","projectTitle":"A Home for Our Backpacks: Help Keep Our Class Organized!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Aguirre","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9105861_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751064852962","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9105861"},{"teacherId":10288204,"projectId":9764231,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for donating materials to support our active learning environment. With your donations, I was able to get scholastic magazines and texts that are engaging and differentiated for all reading levels in my classroom. Students are using these magazines to learn skills such as main idea, inferencing, and writing opinion essays.\r\n\r\nIn my classroom, reading is independent and engaging by offering choice specific to what the students enjoy. I implement reading during small group in a station, called read to self, where students have the choice on what to read and they get to time themselves on how long they are able to maintain their reading. Also, we use these materials after lunch as a cool down. Students love grabbing the monthly magazines and reading all the articles independently. I've heard my students say, \"This is fun!\" and \"I wonder what next month's magazine is going to be about?\" All this to say, they fully enjoy reading and their curiosity is sparking. All my readers benefit from these materials; however, my striving readers always go for the magazines because they are visually appealing and cover so many topics that relate to their interests!","fullyFundedDate":1759512985538,"projectUrl":"project/reading-for-all-levels/9764231/","projectTitle":"Reading For All Levels","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Zepeda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10288204_orig.png?crop=564,564,x0,y58&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758864090602","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10288204"},{"teacherId":8349923,"projectId":9806202,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the laptop for our classroom, it is a meaningful tool that has definitely made a difference in our classroom already.\r\n \r\nYour support will help improve teaching and learning by giving us better access to technology and educational resources. We have used the magazines in a variety of ways already, and look forward to the new year with the magazines as well.\r\n\r\nWe have been able to work on our discussion skills, and therefore strengthen our writing as well. Our big focus has been on finding evidence within the text to support our thoughts and opinions. An added bonus whenever we use the materials online sources, it comes with fun related videos that only deepen the conversation and the content the students want to learn about.\r\n\r\nWe also did a fun project where we got to look at all of the text features that were provided in the articles. The students were able to use this to create their own mini posters, describing the text features, and how they help readers understand what they are reading about.
