My Project

Our school is alternative education, so many students are here for credit recovery, or because they are teen parents. The gifted and talented students attending our alternative education school cannot access advanced placement classes.

The gifted students met and decided to create a paper mache life-size cougar to leave in the lobby as their legacy.

They have worked on the dimensions and have cut up cardboard boxes to make the core, but we desperately need items to complete the project. Our art teacher provided us with a recipe to create lightweight paper mache using joint compound, Elmer's glue-all, and toilet paper. Since this is a first, we also need the tools to make it, such as colanders, mixing bowls, and air-tight buckets to keep it from drying out. Please consider these overlooked students and support their project!
