My Project

I truly love how resilient, energetic, and eager to learn my students are. They come to school each day ready to grow, build friendships, and give their best, even when they may face challenges outside of the classroom. Their creativity, teamwork, and excitement for learning make our classroom a special place, and they deserve opportunities that support not only their academics but their overall well-being.

Recess is an important part of their day because it allows them to reset, recharge, and return to the classroom ready to focus.

The indoor and outdoor recess materials will provide my students with structured, engaging options that promote physical activity, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. Items for outdoor play will encourage movement, teamwork, and healthy habits, while indoor resources will ensure that even on rainy or cold days, students still have meaningful ways to play, collaborate, and stay active.

By providing these resources, my students will be able to build stronger relationships, develop important social-emotional skills, and improve their focus during instructional time. When students have a chance to play and release energy in positive ways, they are more prepared to learn, participate, and succeed in the classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
