My Project

I have so many students that WANT to read, but tackling lengthy chapter books and novels is a daunting—and for some not feasible—task. By adding a variety of graphic novels to our classroom library—many of which have traditional format texts versions—students of all levels can access the same content as their peers and experience the same thrill of entering worlds like Percy Jackson and The Odyssey.

Graphic novels are often looked down on but getting kids reading and loving to read is the most important thing, regardless of the format.

These books would be the greatest gift to my students to help them on their quest of being lifelong readers.
