My Project

Hello, I am a brand new School Social Worker working in Baltimore City Public Schools. I currently work with students pre-k through second grade who are in need of social emotional skills, counseling services, homelessness services, and connecting their families to community resources. Due to being a new social worker with limited supplies, I am looking to gain quality supplies and resources in order to assist my kiddos and reach them in age appropriate ways.

I am fortunate to meet with my students for individual counseling sessions, hold social emotional groups, and sometimes when students simply just need a break.

The supplies I have requested in this project will allow me to customize a workspace that is conducive to learning, create meaningful projects, will allow students to engage in fun but intentional and meaningful play, and ultimately help me to create a safe space that they look forward to coming to.
