Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are scholars who are inquisitive, respectful and creative learners. They love to learn and to show what they know; they are active participants in their education. They live up to the high expectations I set for them by doing their personal best. They have a great understanding of new technology and the Montessori way.
My students collaborate with their peers; they work together and are resourceful when it comes to learning new technology.
They truly love to learn and to share their knowledge with others. They make learning and teaching fun! They are excited and take pride in their learning. They deserve every new learning opportunity I can provide for them.
My Project
Robotics education is becoming increasingly commonplace in schools. This is largely due to the fact that students in school will graduate into a workforce that is embedded with technology. As technology advances on a daily basis, I believe it is crucial for me to stay on top of my A game, especially with the gifted and talented students that I teach. I feel that students who are engaged and learning using robotics technology will have an advantage that can make them become skillful 21st century learners. If I can learn about robotics then my students will be up to date and incorporate these new skills into the classroom.
As a lifelong learner, I hope to instill this in my students and be their role model through this training.
If I am funded for this trip, not only will I benefit, but all 54 of my students, which include grades 1st-5th will also benefit.
