My Project

Coming from a Title I school, the students do not always bring the supplies needed at the beginning of the year. Which I can understand. I always call these supplies the forgotten supplies. I think parents assume that the school provides the tissue or even folders when the students need them. The School Does Not!

I can not always afford to replace what we have gone through.

It is important to have supplies that keep our students healthy and clean. We need female hygiene wipes for when the girls unexpectedly start their cycle as if being a preteen wasn't enough. Tissues to blow our noses.

I want my students to have everything they need to make sure their school year is exciting and fun, as well as productive and successful throughout the school year. These materials will make a difference in my classroom by allowing my students to use real tissues instead of paper towels. We must either buy it ourselves or use towels from the bathroom. I have in the past sent students to the restroom to get toilet paper so it's not as rough on their nose. Sometimes fourth graders come to school without using deodorant. Either they forgot or did not have any at home. It will help to have the spray available for them to use. It keeps everyone a bit healthier.
