Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My dedicated band and strings students at this school are top notch! They love to work hard and they love what instrument they play. A lot of my top players have school instruments and sometimes I have to borrow them from other schools. This project will help me have more school instruments available from this particular school so that the families who aren't able to rent from the music stores can use them. A lot of these students come from tough backgrounds so instrumental is one thing that can help them be successful in life.

In addition, sometimes they are just missing fundamental basic supplies.

This will help them be successful musical scholars by having the necessary supplies!

My Project

Reeds are always needed in the classroom. By having another flute in our inventory, it can help those students who may not be able to afford an instrument to be able to use a quality instrument from the school.

At this school, we currently have no reeds available for student use if they forget their clarinet reeds at home as well as only one flute for students to use if they cannot afford to rent an instrument.

By helping us out, this will ensure that there is another instrument available for them and if they forget a reed, they can still participate in class.
