Help me give my students a memorable 8th-grade bridging ceremony by contributing to special events, decorations, and personalized touches that celebrate their achievements.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love my students for their hard work, creativity, and the unique perspectives they bring to class every day. They’ve faced challenges with determination and have grown so much over the past year. This 8th-grade bridging ceremony is the perfect way to celebrate their journey. The items I’m requesting—such as yard signs, medals, and goody bags—will help make the ceremony truly special and memorable. Yard signs at the entrance of the school will set the tone for a warm, welcoming celebration, while medals will serve as a lasting reminder of their effort and accomplishments. Goody bags filled with small treats and gifts will add a personal touch, showing each student how much they are valued.

My goal for this project is to create a ceremony that feels meaningful and truly honors each student’s hard work and growth as they transition to high school.

With our school year ending soon, we’ll host the bridging ceremony on May 29, 2025, and these resources will help make the event something they’ll remember for years to come. What makes my students special is their diversity, kindness, and the way they lift each other up. This ceremony will be a way to celebrate all their unique stories and successes, leaving them with a sense of pride as they move forward.
