Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a school that serves a diverse population of students who are bright, creative individuals who are eager to learn. My students come from various backgrounds, speak multiple languages and teach me more than I teach them everyday.
My students deserve the opportunity to learn, be creative and grow into the beautiful and bright humans they were born to be.
With your support, the students in my classroom can truly reach their potential and school can be a place where they not only learn but have fun!
My Project
Pencils, markers, paper, oh my! These essential items are what get my students through day to day activities and assignments. This time of year, these fundamental supplies are running low. We have lots of writing, creative expression, and learning to do for the last few months of the school year, and we could really use a refresher on our most basic tools (plus, these will carry over into the beginning of the next school year as well!). Recently, my students have been using broken pencils, pencils without erasers, and even colored pencils when no regular pencils were to be found! This is unacceptable, and my students deserve better!
My students deserve the essential supplies necessary to express their creativity, share their knowledge, and challenge themselves daily.
With your help, we can finish this school year out strong and be prepared with essentials for next school year as well. These items will help my students write, draw, design, think, learn, and teach as we get ready for end of year testing, final assessments, and fun!
