Technology runs the world and it definitely can have a meaningful place in the classroom. As my students are engaging in an ever-evolving world of tech, they should be incorporating that into their learning as well. The materials requested for this project will allow my students to engage with technology in meaningful and purposeful ways. They will be able to use these headphones to record themselves using Flipgrid, an online video tool that opens the door to all kinds of creative possibilities. One of these possibilities will be for my students to connect to classes around the world creating digital penpals or #GridPals. Flipgrid is also a great way for English Language Learners to practice and hone their skills. Kids should know how to use technology responsibly and by incorporating it into my classroom, I hope to foster responsible, creative and meaningful relationships with my kids and technology.
