Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The most important place for a student is in the classroom. As students grow, they spend less time in just one classroom. But this should not mean that the classroom cannot feel like home or at least a safe space. The covers will provide a different ambiance to the room as it hides the light that often hurts the eyes after a long day. All the lamps will provide a much-needed warm and welcoming light.
A comfortable place supplies a child with a safe space to grow.
In addition to light, I added items to update my classroom with encouraging sayings and reminders. I want the students to know that they are more than a score on a test or a check in the grade book. They deserve to be in a space made just for them. These items are for their space.
