My students need composition notebooks to use as their science notebooks. In these books, my students will record all of their classwork so that they can have everything in one place.

My Students

I have the honor of teaching 130 7th grade students the wonders of the science world. My students are driven and are very eager to learn but due to the poor economic situation of the community, making sure all children have the neccessary supplies is tough. I want to give my students the tools to succeed not only in the classroom, but in life as well.

The joy that my students come to class with every day is amazing.

My students come to class excited everyday, but are unprepared due to lack of financial abilities to acquire the supplies needed for class.

My Project

These materials will help my students have the tools to succeed in science class. They will be able to make their guesses and then test their opinions or theories. In their notebooks, they will be able to give the details of their findings and either confirm or reject their original thoughts. This will allow the students to expand their thinking and their problem solving skills. These notebooks provide a valuable resource of recording thoughts and work. Not only will these notebooks allow my students to grow in science knowledge, they will also be able to complete and review their writing prompts throughout the year. In return, this will make them even stronger in writing.
