Mrs. Marines from San Antonio TX is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

The Classroom Library That Serves Every Student

My students need the Authentic Spanish Language Collection- Grade 1 books, because it is in their current reading level. The Heavy-Duty Book Bins will be used to organize the books by their reading levels.

My Students

My goal as a teacher is to give my students a love for reading. I would like to have a classroom library that is inviting and has books with our same culture and background. My ideal classroom library is one where the students love going to, get a book they are interested in, and read the book comfortably.

My students deserve to have access to a classroom library with different reading levels to meet their needs.

I would like to provide that. And with your help that can become a reality. It would be a cozy place to read a book that you are dying to read. It is where avid readers will be born.

My Project

This classroom library will be organized in different reading levels. My students are all reading on different levels, from kindergarten all the way to 4th grade level. Unfortunately, at this moment, I am not able to meet the needs of my struggling students or my higher students. The bins will be labeled to show the students the reading levels. This way students will not get easily frustrated and will be building their reading stamina and love for reading.

The purpose of the classroom library is for it to be inviting.

It doesn't matter if the student is a non-reader. Every student should want to visit the classroom library, and to read a book without it feeling like a chore. These books will be culturally relevant, colorful, and interesting.
