My Project

I will be offering a book club during Track and Field season to engage and empower female student athletes, grades 6-12. We will focus on body image, self-esteem, wellness/nutrition, and their overall expectations of themselves. I will pull from both my experience as a psychologist and coach, using the books to navigate through these challenging but important conversations.

As a female coach and psychologist working in schools I see the pressures females are faced with daily.

By the end of the Track and Field season my student athletes will feel more empowered and able to advocate for themselves athletically, academically, and out in the world.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
