Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first group of students is mostly from US, and they are learning Spanish twice a week for 30 minutes each. They love to practice all the new Spanish vocabulary, and they are very enthusiastic and engaging.

My second group of students is from different countries and cultures.

Some are from Central or South America, others from China, Japan, India, Vietnam, Laos, France, Italy. Because their first language is not English, they are learning it as their second language at school. They are getting better on their reading and listening comprehension, pronunciation, writing, and spelling skills.

All of them would be greatly benefited with more learning resources and classroom supplies.

My Project

These resources will help them enhance, review, and practice their Spanish or ESL learning at school by reading books, using flash cards, playing language games, completing different learning activities from textbooks, and keeping them neat and organized in their classroom. There will be classroom supplies enough for all these incredible and enthusiastic Spanish and ESL students. They will love to share with their classmates the fun games in Spanish, participating and competing in spelling bees using the flash cards along with writing on the small dry erase white boards.
