My Students

We’ve got ideas! We love learning!

My third-grade students are creative, inquisitive, and ready to learn!

Our high-poverty school is located in the heart of a major metropolitan area and is the largest in our county with over 1,400 students from diverse ethnic backgrounds around the globe.

There are 20 students in my class, 7 boys and 13 girls ranging from 8-9 years old. My class is comprised of students from various backgrounds and interest levels, but they have one thing in common - a love of learning!

My Project

Scholastic News is a wonderful tool to engage students in current events and build comprehension skills while we learn about important topics in today's news! This high interest news magazine incorporates digital technology, videos, and activities throughout the year for each and every issue.

Our students today will be the force of tomorrow!

The knowledge they gain as they dig into today's top stories will not only build their informational reading skills but it will bring awareness to things they can relate to and may even empower them to find solutions along the way.
