The Best New Literature for My Students

Help me give my students the best literature possible! I want to create readers, and my students need the best new books possible! We also need graphic novels to help students make the leap to chapter books!

My Students

Our classroom is full of happy, energetic, smart fourth graders. Our school is 80% free and reduced lunch, so many of our students don't have the necessary resources to be successful in school. I want the newest and best books for our classroom library!

Many of our students don't have access to a public library all summer long, so they struggle with reading.

I am moving to fourth grade this year, and I am trying to build our classroom library, and stock it with the new and best books available!

My Project

In fourth grade, we will be spending a large portion of our day reading. Research shows that students who read do better in school and in life. I want to create an amazing classroom library that invites students to choose from the best literature available! Students love to discuss books and share books with friends. This creates a community of readers. My students deserve this!

Please help me to create an amazing classroom library for my students!

Students love to read when they can choose books that interest them! I want the students to be so motivated to read that they can't put their books down! Thank you for your help in creating readers!
