Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Entering the school year my students are already facing hardships. They come from low-income households and many struggles.

This year will be different because we are all dealing with the same issue, a world pandemic; I want my students to feel loved and cared for.

Wearing masks all day, and not being able to work in class normally seems to take a toll on the students, as well as the teachers.

As a dual-language self-contained fourth-grade teacher, there are so many things I wish I could do for my students.

I like to provide them with a fun and comfortable learning environment where they can feel safe. However, a lack of funds creates a barrier that is going to be a challenge for me. I have bright students and want them to get the most out of my classroom whether it is virtual or in person.

My Project

My goals at the moment are not only to provide my students with academic needs but also to help make their learning experience easier. Currently our students are under a lot of stress and hardships due to our world pandemic.

My job is to eliminate any additional stresses related to school.

We are currently lacking little things that are essential and help our students. Snacks also motivate our students and give them a little energy boost before the end of the school day.

We need batteries for our recently donated wireless mice. We are also missing several headphones due to wear and tear of previous purchase. These are essential to the students learning experience while using their classroom assigned Chromebooks.

The last things I would like to provide is additional snacks for those students who do not bring anything for our mid-day brain break. This is something the students look forward to in order to help them complete their day.
