This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a passionate National Board Certified special education high school teacher. Our school is a Title I school serving a diverse population. The students I work with are determined and strive to persevere through social, emotional, and academic challenges. My Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class has worked on the yearbook staff, attended school activities, volunteered in the community, and served on the (ASB) Associated Student Body. They excel with movement and hands-on experiences. I am blessed to be their teacher and strive to encourage students beyond their greatest expectations.
As the new semester begins, I am organizing groups to facilitate project-based learning.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 and case will bring groups of 2-3 together to brainstorm a topic or idea for their classroom project. Students will use Samsung for greater productivity with customizable multi-window layouts and Circle to Search with Google. They will have the option to use the camera along with digital note-taking and drawing to transform their ideas. Thank you for supporting students with extensive needs.
