As a teacher, I model flexibility, preparing my students for the future. I provide students with opportunities to move their bodies, minute by minute, hour by hour. Each day is a different experience and I know that a flexible seating environment will allow my students to focus and be successful. Alternative seating is not a trend in my classroom, it's a way of life. Each day, students will be asked to make a choice, deciding upon their appropriate learning environment. With space to spread out, engagement will soar and students will become empowered learners. Creating this learning environment will allow for an atmosphere, whereby students will want to invite their peers into the classroom. Inclusivity at its finest!
