Help me give my students the opportunity to learn and express themselves through art with construction paper, dot markers, feathers, googly eyes, glitter and tissue paper. In our classroom we often use art supplies such as paint in order to create our themed crafts!
I am an ESE Pre-K teacher. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be called, "teacher." I began my first year of teaching this year and gained so many experiences that taught me what my professional and personal goals are in this field. I met my students, and I fell in love with each of them. I have gotten to know so much about them, and to build a special bond.
My students are each unique, humorous, kind, curious, innovative, and thriving.
They each have different learning needs that we work on daily. I individualize my instruction to meet the needs of each student in my classroom. Their age ranges are from 3-5. Our number of students ranges from 1-9 in order to keep the appropriate ratio to enhance our students' learning and to meet their needs.
My students work hard each and every day and love coming to school. I have learned as much from them as they have from me. They bring joy into my life and thanks to them, I have found my answer for the question, "Why do you teach?"
My Project
When I walk into my classroom, one of my favorite things to do is admire the creative work of my students. Every week we explore a different theme and learn different shapes, colors, letters and numbers. We create 3-5 themed crafts weekly.
When given arts and craft opportunities, my students get to express themselves and learn in the most interactive and creative ways.
The arts and crafts materials we are asking for will allow my students to develop their fine motor skills, expand their vocabulary, socially interact with peers, and to learn new colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.
My students and I are so proud of their creations. We turn each letter craft into a themed alphabet book at the end of each school year for every student so that they can take them home and show everyone how much they have learned this year, while remembering their first year of school.
