Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in New York. We have a very diverse population of over 500 students.

The students come from diverse backgrounds and are trying their best to succeed.

Help support my classroom by letting us purchase new and exciting materials to challenge and inspire my students!

My Project

In the electronic texting world that we live in, children don't understand the point and power of letter writing. These books are compelling examples of letter writing!

I hope these books and materials will spark the inner writer in my students!

Many of these stories include how the mail system works and the fun of sending mail. Some share stories of pen pals, and others highlight the art of persuasion.

With the paper and stationery I hope we will be inspired to write our own letters. Sparking this interest in young children will hopefully ensure letter writing is not a lost art!
