My Students

Our high school is commonly known as a "country school," as we are situated on the outskirts of the city area. Students that are in my classroom are hard workers, mostly because they have to be.

My high school students are family-oriented, appreciative, and always silly!

I also have students in my classroom who have English as a second language, as we are an ESL school.

Our diverse students are, for the majority, from low-income families which limits their life experiences thus far. Any type of help in the classroom to make school easier, more enjoyable, and better equipped is appreciated by my students as well as myself.

My Project

I want to give my theatre students the opportunity to create their own stop motion movie! With the growing focus of technology and the decreasing opportunities for fun in the classroom due to COVID, these digital cameras and tripods will provide my students with the materials they need to try something new.

These cameras and tripods will bring my students' Claymation visions to life!

Students have the ever daunting task of showing up day after day, without recess, without time to socialize, and most importantly without the hope for anything fun.

I want my students to walk in my classroom with just that - hope. Hope for fun and learning new things! Every time I try to implement technology into my theatre class, we have to jump through hoops just to get the bare minimal items that we need.

A class set of these cameras and tripods will help me diversify the projects in the classroom by finally giving my students just what they need!
