This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help us build our make shift kitchen by donating to this project so our students have access to ample tools, such as a blender and instant pot, and small kitchen appliances to use as they learn how to cook healthy foods for themselves and their families. Many of our students’ families are food insecure, so teaching students a variety of cooking skills they can use to prepare healthy meals utilizing all different types of foods will help them to take care of themselves and their families. Also the inclusion of a club such as this one will promote positive attendance, because students have to come to school to participate in clubs. The more students come to school, the more skills they will learn which will contribute to their literacy and social and emotional growth and well being.
