This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I just moved to a new school, and I have been excited about all the new possibilities that my new school opens up. However, I have one problem - my math counting cubes smell. I have tried soaking them, cleaning them, letting them air out for the weekend and changing the container that they are kept in. Nothing gets rid of the smell.
My math counting cubes still have an odor that fills the room.
I need new ones for my students to use during math instruction for counting and making patterns. Each student will be given a set of them so that they can have hands-on experiences during math lessons.
I also need a large set of markers. I have a student who struggles with behavior; she is able to sit and work better when she is allowed to color with markers during lessons. However, she has already gone through a set of markers in one week. I need a bulk set of markers to keep her listening throughout the year.
