My Project

In my Title1 community many students face food insecurity. 72% of our school population qualifies for free and reduced lunch. Students eat breakfast and lunch during a regular school day.

Over the extended break our students may not be able to participate in a traditional Thanksgiving due to food insecurity.

Our school goal is to support 500 families by providing Thanksgiving food essentials to have over the week long break. We have an annual food drive the Saturday before Thanksgiving where families can pick up needed items.
