This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year is almost coming to an end. I wanted to give the top 2 students in each class a Thank you gift card. I was going to select the students with the highest grade and the student with the best attendance and award 2 students in each class. Earth day is a few days away and we had a discussion on recycling and waste reduction. Our last project for their final grades for this quarter will be to use recycled items and create a functioning and useful material. Once they submit this assignment, I can compare their final scores. I have four classes so I would need 8 prizes. We have another seven weeks before the school year ends, so I thought this would be a nice way to recognize the students in each class that have made an effort to attend school and to try their best and do well in class.

I feel that rewards and incentives are great ways to motivate and encourage our students to keep up the good work.

I look forward to rewarding them and seeing them have a big smile on their face.
