I teach fifth grade in a small rural Arkansas town. The community is very small. It is hard at times to get the necessary materials for my students. DonorsChoose has enabled me to provide those materials.

I want my students to develop a love for reading. Reading is the basis for all education and the real world. It will open doors for my students. They need to be able to read for a purpose and for fun in order to go far in the world. Reading opens the door to many opportunities for people and leads to success in life.

Part of being a good reader is reading non-fiction. "TFK", or "Time for Kids" is a wonderful magazine that keeps kids up to date on current events in the United States and the world in a kid friendly way.

Make a difference and help some small town students open the door to their future with a great magazine that will enable them to stay current with world events.
