My Students

We are kindergarten classrooms of diverse and curious learners. Our students come from varied backgrounds; for many, this is their first school experience. We are a lab school for the local university and are hosts to many student teachers who bring fun, learning, and innovation to our classrooms.

Many of our students' first language is not English and many come to us from disadvantaged backgrounds without many learning experiences to draw upon, but the one thing they all have is the desire to learn.

My Project

Our students come to us with a wide variety of abilities and life experience. Technology, when used correctly can add a new access point to a wealth of knowledge, from reading and writing to math and science.

These iPads will be used in literacy centers for practicing letters and sounds, during math to practice math concepts and facts and in science to discover new concepts through videos and reading to learn in the content areas.

Since many of our students do not have access to technology, these iPads will provide them with a new experience and endless opportunities for enrichment.
