This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students involved in the HS band program are some of the hardest working and most dedicated people I have ever had the pleasure of being around. For some, band is the reason that they come to school. It is what keeps them out of trouble and on a path towards success. As their teacher, I want to be able to provide them with all of the resources they need to take their passion as far as they want to take it.

My Project

Our drumline has had the same tenor heads for many years now and new ones will greatly improve our sound. As my kids interest for the drumline activity continues to blossom, I feel that my students deserve to be playing on the highest quality equipment possible. To replace a set of tenor drums you are not just getting one new drum head. You are getting 5! This greatly increases the cost that is necessary to replace heads for not one set of tenor drums, but two. I can certainly tell you that my kids would greatly appreciate any donation towards these new drum heads.
