This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten students love learning how to draw throughout the year! However, many of my students come to school lacking the foundational skills they need for drawing. For example, some students come to school not knowing how to hold a writing tool or the hand strength to make recognizable marks on paper.

To engage my students in developing these essential skills, I am requesting drawing paper, drawing tools, rubbing plates, and stencils.

With these materials, they can practice building their artistic abilities, basic knowledge and fine motor skills all year long!
