My Project

Our PE Department (PK-12th Grade) is hoping to purchase some Heart Rate Monitors to help our students be able to self assess their effort during PE Classes. Our department went to a conference this fall and we were really impressed with these monitors and the technology/visuals they offer for our students.

Heart rate monitors will help them understand what a target heart rate is and how important it is to maintain that target heart rate while working out for a minimum of 20 minutes.

Heart rate monitors that are rechargeable will allow us to use them class after class and for students to understand their importance.

*A few teachers we talked to that have these specific monitors said that they have been using the same monitors for nearly a decade!

Our goal is for students to understand effort and cardiovascular fitness. Heart rate monitors will allow us to fulfill this goal successfully.
