it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need hand-on tools money kits and clocks to practice learning time and money. These skills are often overlooked as most currency is digital with credit cards and money sharing applications. Additionally, most clocks are digital or read the time aloud. However, telling time on an analog is still important and a valuable life skill. It is also important to know the value of each coin and paper currency. Beyond the value, students need hands-on practice counting money and performing operations with various money quantities. Students are more confident and engaged when they can practice with physical tools and manipulatives.
