Teenagers Need Play Time Too

My students need gymnastics mats for stunt work and strength building and badminton sets to increase teamwork for PE.

My Students

My students are active teenagers and they are always on the move! They like to run and play typical games like basketball, football, soccer, baseball, etc.; however, they love gymnastics and badminton the most. The one thing that they all have in common is that they love to play! I want my students to learn that fitness is fun and how to incorporate it into their everyday life. Allowing them to move while having fun will improve their overall health and wellness.

My Project

My students absolutely love to play! What are their favorite activities, you ask? Gymnastics and badminton. When they walk into PE and see the mats out or the net up, they are ecstatic! The best way to get kids moving is to make moving FUN. Since, this is their favorite activity, the mats and rackets have seen better days. They desperately need to be replaced so that they can continue to enjoy their PE classes and learn that fitness can be FUN! When it is fun, they tend to incorporate fitness into their life, which will have a lasting affect on their overall health.
