This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Technology and literacy are two vital skills needed to succeed in today's world market. My students are struggling readers. For them to practice their reading skills they must have a working computer.

Although our school issues each student a Chromebook in middle school, oftentimes they are broken and in need of repair.

Unfortunately, our technology department is understaffed and it could be weeks before a student's Chromebook is returned to them.

My students can be easily discouraged and not having the materials or equipment they need adds to their discouragement. Having computers in class that they can check out and use will alleviate some of the obstacles they face in their learning journey.
