My students who are mostly virtual and hybrid depend on my lessons. Having met some of my students in person they are curious, have a love for learning, and witty.
That being said, they are suffering from trying to learn online from home, with all the distractions that it brings.
I am trying to zone in on the fun but very educational, interesting resource to enhance my math but mostly science lessons virtually, however so many things cost money!
My school is located in South Carolina, our small school district is home to students from PreK-12th grade. Our school is 100% free lunch and breakfast, and many of my students receive food bags on the weekends. They have lived through a lot in their lives; hunger, poverty, illnesses, and now Covid. But still, have zeal, and are motivated and interested to learn.
My Project
Since March, when the Pandemic started affecting teachers and students, we have been using the technology around the clock, we had to make learning fun and interesting. My school laptop was doing so much and has now been overworked due to the hours of planning and teaching. It has now done its time and logs off during instruction on Google Meet. This has made it hard for students to receive amazing lessons. Teaching my students and seeing how involved they are in my math and science lessons brings joy to my heart.
This laptop will help my students to get better lessons without interruptions and facilitate learning in this virtual teaching time.
It will help students to be able to view videos of science and math lessons and help us to bring math and STEM in science to life
