These books now belong to our school library so future classes can experience this powerful story, too.\r\n\r\nThrough this novel, my students gained a deeper understanding of history. They discovered what courage, sacrifice, and kindness look like during difficult times. Many shared how the book helped them imagine what it would be like to stand up for what's right, even when it's hard. \r\n\r\nThis project helped us connect reading and social studies in meaningful ways. My students grew as readers and thinkers — expanding their vocabulary, comprehension, and empathy.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide books; it opened doors to history, understanding, and compassion. By providing dry erase boards and markers, students can share their thinking in a way that is often more interactive. \r\n\r\nWhen doing math, using the dry erase boards provides a quick way to check for understanding. We use the \"boards up\" method often. I can pose a problem and after giving students think time, I say \"boards up\" and I'm able to do a quick check and clearly see who is understanding the material and who might need more help. \r\n\r\nFinally, we use the boards for students to work together during partner and small group time. This allows for greater collaboration and communication that paper and pencil often does not. Due to absences or lack of understanding, students are able to revisit lessons independently, which can help them continue to learn at their own pace.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, teachers can challenge or remediate students as needed, using varied learning apps that often require volume, especially assisting auditory learners. This personalized approach has been crucial for effective learning, allowing students to work independently and focus on areas where they need the most support.\r\n\r\nMoreover, providing each student with a pair of earphones has addressed issues of embarrassment and shame. A lack of resources can create disparities among students in a classroom setting, leading to feelings of inadequacy or exclusion. These headphones have promoted a sense of equity and belonging by ensuring every student has the necessary tools, fostering a more positive and inclusive learning environment.\r\n\r\nIn conclusion, donations of this nature have profoundly impacted students' education.
