Learning Through Flexible Seating My students enter the room every morning with smiles on their faces, and energy to last for days, despite their challenging circumstances. Located in Manning SC our small school district is home to students preK-12th grade. Our school is 100% free lunch & breakfast, many of my students receive food bags on the weekends. They have lived through a lot in their lives; hunger, poverty, illness and even death. My classroom is an all subject class which means they are seated most of the day. Many students have a diagnosis of ADHD and sensory challenges. Since adding 3 soft seating into our room, my students' engagement, productivity, & scores have increased! By adding flexible seating, students will have the benefits of comfort, & movement in their aspirations. Funds for flexible seating are extremely limited. This grant would help me help increase student work productivity and engagement.
