My students need two Tabletop Communication Center shelves to store technology safely in the classroom.

My Students
We have been the recipients of generous Donors Choose grants for technology that have equipped my classroom with a few Nooks and iPads. We also have a few laptops. However, we currently have no good place to store them safely. We need a low cost storage solution.
My students are a very diverse group in terms of socioeconomic status, ethnicity, race, learning needs, and personality.
Some are enthusiastic, active learners who reach for everything I can offer. Some are more reluctant learners, and I try hard to find ways to also engage them actively. Some have lives that center around daily survival, and their energy is exhausted outside of school, with little brainpower left for learning when they get to school each day. Yet my job is to teach all of these students. Using technology is one way of meeting these diverse needs.
My Project
Currently, we are using an old cardboard mail sorter that was being discarded by another teacher to hold our various forms of technology. While the slots are a good size, it is not sturdy enough to be safe for the heavier items. After a shelf gave way and a laptop slid out onto the floor (no damage, thank goodness!), I knew we needed something else. The various carts that are available are too large for our needs and are very expensive. We need a low cost, safe place for students to put away the items after they use them.
The technology in our classroom needs to be readily available for students to access and use.
It contributes hugely to the learning that takes place each day. We need to treat it with care in order to preserve it for as long as possible. Therefore, we need to store it appropriately. These shelves are sturdy, have openings the correct size, and are ideal for the task.
