This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Technology is everywhere and I would like to expose my students to the wonderful things they can do and learn with it! Tablets would be a great addition to our classroom! The children will be able to choose the apps that appeal to them and help reinforce the skills they've learned!

Our schools are asking for our classrooms to be more student led.

My students are fascinated with technology. It keeps their focus and could be controlled and differentiated. If used in centers children can choose different apps that help reinforce the skills they need help with. My children love to play games and tablets will allow them to practice what they've learned at their own pace.

My Project

The tablets will be used during our centers. One child or partners will be working on it at a time. I will fill the tablets with different reading and math apps that help promote the skills they need to excel in first grade. Children will be able to choose which app they would like to work on.

Tablets in our classroom will help expose my children to the technology that surrounds them.

They will help teach them how to use technology to practice skills they've learned and promote exploration.
