This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade dual immersion students are creative, compassionate, inquisitive learners. They come to our virtual meetings everyday knowing that they are part of an engaging, safe, and happy community. I teach at a Title 1 school where 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is located in a high need area where many of our families are farm workers and English Language Learners. Regardless of their home situation, my students love learning and thrive on new experiences.
It is crucial that each one of our students continue to develop 21st Century skills in order to stay competative in the future.
Unfortunately, many of my students lack access to technology at home. Through this project, I will have the opportunity to use up to date technology that will help engage my students in their learning and provide an enhanced distance learning environment and experience.
I am certain that my students would benefit greatly through this project by enhancing our distance learning experience together.
My Project
Having these technology tools will help my students by enhancing our distance learning and hopefully, live instruction experience. Their addition will allow us to use the iPad to the best of it's abilities. During COVID19 closures, it will allow me to project, draw, and manipulate lessons and activities more effectively.
If and when we are allowed to go back to live instruction, my students will also have the experience and opportunity to use these tools to manipulate and use the iPad more safely and efficiently.
It will help further engage them in their learning experience.
