Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are full of energy, and we're always looking for ways to engage them and harness that positive energy. Making connections with them is very important, and that's the key to helping them be successful.

It's the surprise hug, the hint of a smile where there was none before, a hello when there used to be a small wave - those are the milestones that make working with our kids special.

And they're special because of their energy, personalities, as well as their individual needs. All of our kids receive free breakfast and lunch. Some receive food bags for the weekends, and next year 100% will receive all three meals at school for free. This will help build a foundation for their learning.

My Project

Our students will be able to access online resources in order to do research, participate in online adaptable review resources for SOL's, and have access to the laptop when I travel to classrooms as well.

Our students will have experience using the latest laptop with Windows 10.

Our current laptops do not have Windows 10, so our students will have experience using this type of operating system. I love to have students experience new technology, so this will help in this endeavor.

Access to information and technology is very important to us, and the laptop will be an excellent addition!
