This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am blessed to have responsible and hardworking students. My students are overachievers and go beyond what is asked of them. As a teacher, I need to keep up with effective lessons that keep them engaged and focused throughout the semester.

My Project

LAUSD provides classes and workshops for professional development. I need the updated technology such as a MacBook Pro and earphones to attend meetings through Zoom. Having an updated device allows me to create and edit lessons for my classes.

The goal for the MacBook Pro and earphones that I have requested allows students to work on fun assignments outdoors, learn how to use different tools such as Welnet to document and graph their daily physical activity.

The technology resources I need will help students to become lifelong learners because I will be able to provide them with meaningful lessons that will keep them engaged and focused.

Professional development affords educators the space to think outside of the box and integrate new strategies, better understand new standards, or experiment with new technology. The learning process through professional development is igniting for educators and empowers them to return that energy to students.

In closing, the devices I have requested will help me improve as an educator by creating fun lessons to keep students focused during distance learning. Attending classes online on Zoom to improve as an educator by having an iPad and air phones that is up to date with modern technology will allow me to become an effective teacher for all my students.
