My Students

My students are unique. Most of my students are fluent in more than one language. Students come from all over the world and speak many different languages. Together we illustrate the "salad bowl theory." A concept that suggests that the integration of the many different cultures of our classroom combine like a salad, as opposed to the more traditional notion of a cultural melting pot. We each bring a different flavor to our classroom. That's what makes it beautiful, colorful, and fun!

My Project

Getting an extra IPad makes a complete set for centers in my classroom. Right now we as teachers have been put into an unusual circumstance. In these difficult times, it is important to find the positives. In this case, it is discovering all the great digital resources that are available to our students. In order to continue their journey with not only education but becoming familiar and fluent in technology skills, it is important to integrate technology when we return to our classrooms. I would use this IPad to build technology skills and utilize digital resources discovered during remote learning.
